These are four in number comparatively smaller and nearer to the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. They contain small rocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outer group planets: These are four in number and are called as Gas Giants because they contain gas and larger in size, and are far away from the sun, also known as Jovian Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pluto does not belong to any group. It\u2019s a very small, solid and icy planet and outermost of the solar system. It sometimes passes inside the Neptune\u2019s orbit. Comet is an icy, small object when passing close to the sun begins to release gases. This process is called \u201cOutgassing\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is visible like a \u2018Coma,\u2019 sometimes with a tail. Meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. When a Meteoroid enters the earth\u2019s atmosphere, it becomes visible and is called as Meteor and hits the earth\u2019s surface as a Meteorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Interplanetary dust:<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"552\" src=\"https:\/\/mamlabs.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web-1024x552.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7047\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web-1024x552.webp 1024w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web-300x162.webp 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web-768x414.webp 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web-1170x631.webp 1170w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/06_Interplanetary-dust_web.webp 1215w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interplanetary dust is believed to come from the surface erosion and collision of asteroids and from comets. When they travel near the sun, they give off gas and dust. That\u2019s why this dust is also called as Micrometeoroids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the objects in the solar system move around the sun in elliptical orbits. The shape of these orbits is located in a thin disc around the sun\u2019s equator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The orbiting direction of all planets is anticlockwise when viewed from above. And all these planets spin about their own axes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One interesting fact is that, the spinning direction of six planets is the same as the orbiting direction, i.e. anticlockwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These planets are Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. Other three planets are Venus, Uranus, and Pluto.
