The RMS Titanic<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

RMS Titanic was an Olympic-class British passenger liner and the largest ship in the world at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was built as an unsinkable ship and operated by White Star Line, a British shipping company. Harland & Wolff, a British shipbuilding and fabrication company completed her in Belfast shipyard on 2 April 1912. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The propellers fitted were two wing propellers having 3-blades, and one center propeller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Titanic was built with 9 decks (A-G) powered by two reciprocating steam engines for the wing propellers, and a low-pressure turbine for the center propeller. The total output power was 46,000 HP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total power to the steam engines was supplied by 31 boilers (24-double ended and five single-ended).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She started her maiden service to on 10 April 1912 sailed by Captain Edward Smith,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 3,547 people aboard including 874 crew members RMS Titanic left for New York from Southampton, a port city in Hampshire, England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 14 April 1912 at the ship\u2019s time of 11:40 pm, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sank after 2-hour 40 min later on 15 April 1912.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1490 people lost their lives in this disaster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
