of China by uniting regional walls of forts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Designing a terracotta army of 7,000 soldiers to guard his tomb as picturized in History:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first time in history, Emperor Zheng had established the imperial United China in 221 B.C.E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus he is called the \u201cFirst Emperor\u201d of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before his reign, China was divided into 7 provinces under different native kings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At that time all the regional kings used to fight each other to claim supremacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This period is called \u201cWarring States Period\u201d and was lasted for about 200 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qin province in the west of China is one of the 7 provinces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During that war period, around 246 B.C.E., Zheng became the king of the Qin province at the very young age of 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overtime Zheng emerged as the most powerful of other rival kings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" young age, he planned to unite China under one rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this purpose he adopted new strategies to defeat other rival kings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He set out a combination of guerilla-type attacks and other surprising strategic plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He introduced clever espionage techniques to down his rivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He offered bribes to key personalities of the rival states into submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had defeated all the rival kings of the remaining six provinces one by one by 221 BCE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus he held the title \u201cShi Huangdi\u201d (The First Emperor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He himself announced that his dynasty would rule China for \u201cTen Thousand Generations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He and his chief minister Li Si imposed centralized rule in a ruthless manner to put the whole China under their firm control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" Emperor:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1. He implemented a standardized system of weights and measures throughout the country overruling the regional variations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. He set standardized laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. He made the Chinese script into a standard form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. He built roads and canals throughout the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. He strengthened the borders to nullify the attacks from enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. More importantly, he began the construction of one of the wonders of the world, \u201cThe Great Wall of China\u201d, linking the frontier fortresses in the north.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. He built a large complex to protect his tomb. More than 700,000 people worked for this.
